My first book for the year was The Greenhill Murder by Kerry Greenwood. I’ve read quite a few of the Phryne Fisher books and this one was definitely up there in my favourite but there was just something off the mark about this one. I enjoyed the characters but felt like I was accepting the relationships between characters rather than believing or rooting for them. The major problem was that I predicted the end a mile away which isn’t something I’ve done before with the series. I’ve read the books out of order which might have something to do with these issues. Despite these negatives overall I found the book really enjoyable and I didn’t want to put it down.
I’d give the book a 3.5 out of 5.
