Farewell New Zealand!

Hey Everyone!

I would like to apologise for my absence this past fortnight – It’s been a crazy few weeks saying goodbye to life in New Zealand and settling back into being in Australia. But here I am!

I had a fabulous time in living in Auckland these past four months: I ate some amazing food, met really cool people, spent some quality time with family AND I learnt that cricket is not only interesting but something I enjoy watching (Who knew?).  The other thing that will always be special about the trip is it’s where I put this blog together.  A big benefit of being in Auckland was the steady supply of people to eat my creations. I’ve learnt so much during the trip and through creating the blog – like the other day I managed to sort through code and change something without the whole site crashing!

While in Auckland I bought my camera which I took dutifully with me everywhere (including work) just in case we ended up somewhere pretty or eating something delicious. What I got was a lot of photos to sort though and actually learning how to use my camera!

So in honour of my time over the Tasman (sea), here a few of my favourite pictures from the trip 🙂

This is the best grilled cheese I may ever have – If you are in Auckland go to The Dairy Now!

My brother wanted to help me take pictures so I told him to go model 😛
Adventures at Goat Island – Didn’t actually see any goats…
Every tip jar should be a little like this (Photo credit to Seb)

Chocolate beer is always a good idea, pink beer not so much

I had some time to kill in Devonport so I just walked around taking pictures of random things
This was the crab burger at Citizen Park in Kingsland – I couldn’t finish it but it was a delight
This photo was taken while walking with my brother as he did his flyer delivery  – everything about New Zealand is sooo pretty
